com.krypton.deviceinfo) is a
device‑diagnostics and inventory app used by organizations to activate,
monitor, and manage the status of their own devices. This policy applies to
anyone who installs the App, including individuals activating a device on
behalf of an organization, and explains what information the App collects,
why, and how it is used.
1. Who this App is for
Krypton System Insights is intended for devices enrolled by an organization for management and monitoring purposes. When you register a new device or sign in to activate an existing one, the device is linked to your organization's account. We publish and operate the App; if you have questions about this policy or want to exercise any of the rights described below, contact us at biz.krypton@gmail.com.
2. Information you provide
When you register a new device or sign in to activate an existing one, you (or your organization's administrator) provide:
- Full name
- Email address
- Mobile number
- Organization name
- City, district, and state
- Dealer code (optional)
- A device/machine name (either your device's existing name, or one you enter)
This information is used to create and identify your organization's account and to link this device to it. It is stored on our servers for as long as the account is active.
3. Information collected automatically
Once a device is activated, the App periodically (roughly every 3 hours, or immediately if you tap “Sync now”) sends a device‑status report to our servers so it can be viewed on your account's dashboard. This report contains:
| Category | Examples |
|---|---|
| Device identity | Brand, manufacturer, model, Android version, build identifiers |
| Hardware | CPU/GPU details, RAM usage, battery level and health, list of on‑device sensors |
| Storage | Total/used/free space, and a size breakdown by category (photos, videos, documents, etc.) — individual file names and paths are not included |
| Camera hardware | Lens count, resolution, aperture, and similar specifications read from the camera's hardware description. The App does not take photos, record video, or access the camera preview. |
| Network | Connection type (Wi‑Fi/cellular), Wi‑Fi network name (SSID) and access point address (BSSID), IP address |
| Installed apps | Counts only (total, user, system, enabled, disabled) — individual app names are shown on your device's own “Apps” screen but are never transmitted |
| Identifiers | A randomly generated per‑install identifier, the device's Android ID, and your organization's account/licence identifiers — used to attribute each report to the correct device and account |
Storage (Space Analyzer)
To show what is using storage space, the App asks you to pick a folder using Android's own file picker (Storage Access Framework). The App reads file names, sizes, types, and modified dates inside the folder you choose, entirely on your device, to build the breakdown you see on screen. Individual file names and paths never leave your device — only the aggregate category totals described above are included in the periodic device report.
Location
The App does not request or use location permissions, and does not collect or transmit your location, in the foreground or background.
4. What we don't collect
- No continuous or background location tracking
- No photos, videos, or audio recordings
- No SMS, call logs, or contacts
- No advertising identifiers, and no third‑party advertising or analytics SDKs
5. How we use information
- To activate and license your device under your organization's account
- To display device health and diagnostics on the in‑app dashboard and your organization's web dashboard
- To provide customer support and troubleshoot issues
- To maintain, secure, and improve the service
7. Data retention
We retain account and device‑report data for as long as your device/account remains active, and for a reasonable period afterward to meet legal, accounting, or support obligations, unless a longer period is required by law.
8. Security
Data is transmitted to our servers over HTTPS. We use reasonable administrative and technical safeguards to protect the information we hold, but no method of transmission or storage is 100% secure.
9. Your choices
- You can deny any runtime permission prompt; declining storage access simply disables the Space Analyzer feature.
- Uninstalling the App stops all further data collection from that device.
- To request access to, correction of, or deletion of your data, contact us at biz.krypton@gmail.com. Requests are subject to your organization administrator's approval where the account is organization‑owned.
10. Children's privacy
The App is intended for use by organizations and their staff, and is not directed at children under 13 (or the relevant age of consent in your region). We do not knowingly collect information from children.
11. Changes to this policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Material changes will be reflected by updating the “Last updated” date above.
